The event will run for four days, from 11 to 14 February 2025, in Nuremberg, Germany. Within the National Pavilion, 24 Ukrainian exporters are presenting a wide range of organic products, demonstrating the high quality, competitiveness, and resilience of the country\u2019s organic sector despite the challenges posed by the war.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">BIOFACH 2025 participants have the opportunity to explore a diverse selection of Ukrainian organic products, including berries and fruits, dairy products, nuts, honey and beekeeping products, chocolate, cereals, grains and pulses, juices and jams, fruit rolls, leather and chips, baby food, snacks and breakfast cereals, medicinal herbs, oils, oilcakes, and more. Some of these products are already successfully exported to the European Union.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">On the first day of the trade fair, the official opening of the National Pavilion of Ukraine took place, featuring welcome addresses from the organisers and partners, including:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Maryna Kyslytska, Head of the State Policy Division on Organic Production of the Food Security and Excise Products Directorate of the Department of State Policy on Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures, Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine;\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sergii Zakharin, Deputy Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalisation;\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Marco Kr\u00e4uchi, Program Manager, State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), Switzerland (development partner of Swiss programmes QFTP and SIPPO);\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Stefan Dreesmann, Team Leader, German-Ukrainian Cooperation in Organic Agriculture (COA);\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Iryna Kukhtina, President of Ukrainian Berries Association.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><i>\u201cThe presence of Ukraine at this leading organic trade fair is a powerful message to the world that, even under critical conditions, the organic business is able to find new ways for growth, reflecting this year\u2019s fair\u2019s moto \u201cYes, we do!\u201d,\u201d Marco Kr\u00e4uchi, Program Manager, Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).<\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">During the four days of the trade fair Ukrainian exporters plan to hold numerous meetings with potential partners and buyers, contributing to the strengthening of Ukrainian organic products&#8217; position in the international market. The trade fair will also become as a platform for discussing the development prospects of the sector, particularly in the context of Ukraine\u2019s integration into the European organic market.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Tomorrow, 12 February, the conference \u201cUkraine\u2019s Organic Sector in the EU Integration Process \u2013 Challenges, Opportunities, and Post-War Resilience\u201d will take place withing the trade fair. Representatives from the public and private sectors will discuss strategies for the recovery and growth of organic production in Ukraine.
